Yarrow Pt. Youth Fishing Derby

Rules:

  1. Open to anyone 15 and under, state license not required.
  2. Recommend younger anglers be accompanied by parent or guardian – no lifeguards on duty.
  3. Derby officials will record measurements and photograph catch for derby entry.  Fish not required to be kept for official entry – may be released.
  4. All legal fishing methods are permissible, reference Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife Fishing Regulations (see links below).  Also available at the Yarrow Point Town Hall.
  5. All derby anglers must fish only at the Public Pier at Road End Beach, NE 47th (Hadden Way).
  6. Anglers must confirm entry by completing an entry form online (see link below).  Also available at the Yarrow Point Town Hall.
  7. Fishing rods are available to borrow by contacting Bruce McGlenn @ 206.849.8799 at least one week in advance.  A clinic will be held at the Yarrow Point Town Hall on Saturday, July 2nd from 4 to 6 PM for those wishing to discuss equipment and fishing methods.

  • Most Fish Released
  • Youngest Angler

Grand Prize winner gets name on plaque, displayed at the Town Hall.  All winners (and contestants on a space available basis) can ride in the “Fish Float” in the July 4th Parade.
